Dancing Bear" is a Polish writer - Witto. Reportage written by Witold Szabłowski in 2014. The title "Dancing Bears" not only tells the story of a group of bears who were trained by gypsies to dance and perform acrobatics since childhood in Bulgaria and finally no longer have to be enslaved, but also a story about a group of people besides the bears. These people are not only the Gypsies who were later banned by the European Union from continuing to domesticate bears.
But also the people of various countries who photo color correction services have transformed from the communist system to a capitalist and democratic system after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, when they adapted to the new system. The author cleverly compares the "liberated" bear to what happens to people who have broken away from a dictatorship. The similarity between the two is that these bears and people are considered to be in a state of slavery until they are free from their masters and institutions.
Although in the communist system everyone has food and clothing, no one is without a job, and everyone is treated equally (on the surface). Yet they do not have the human rights guaranteed by democracies. Like a bear domesticated by the Gypsies, its life is stable, like a pet that people keep. But behind the scenes, they suffered a lot of inhuman abuse: they were forced to leave their original living environment, their teeth were knocked out (for fear that it would bite people), their noses were welded into a metal nose ring, and ropes were tied to perform around , and control the pain by pulling the nose ring to train the performance.
